Alipay+ is the unified wallet gateway for payment and digitisation services of Ant International. We are building an open ecosystem connecting e-wallets, banks, and financial institutions worldwide, making digital payments and lifestyle services accessible to global users. Alipay+ Payment Solutions team is the central department that ensures Alipay+ payment solution excellence and business excellence, including Alipay+ overall payment network policy, global pricing strategy, and QR/NFC solution excellence, along with the corresponding GTM strategies.
The role will primarily focus on Alipay+ NFC, a global strategic initiative in collaboration with global card schemes to offer tap-to-pay acceptance to partners in the Alipay+ ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to build relationship with major payment industry players and shape product solutions that will impact hundreds of millions of users in various regions of the world.
Position Description
Partnership Development & Business Negotiation
1. Lead partner engagement for the Alipay+ NFC in global markets (with a focus on Southeast Asia), including e-wallets and other financial institutions
2. Drive end-to-end delivery from product pitching, implementation to commercial launch
3. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and solution proposals to prospective clients
4. Drive commercial contract negotiations, including partnership models, economics, SLAs, and other key terms
5. Identify new business opportunities and drive initiatives to expand our market presence
Product Implementation & Project Management
1. Define clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables for each partnership
2. Coordinate cross-functional resources (product, tech, legal, finance) to ensure project milestones are met and business objectives are achieved
3. Collaborate with legal teams to review commercial agreements, identifying potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies
4. Gather partner feedback requirements to drive product iterations and user experience optimization
Job Requirement
• Bachelor's degree or above; Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields preferred
• 5+ years of work experience in the payments industry or fintech sector; work expeirence in Southeast Asian markets preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal skills in English and Chinese, capable of conducting negotiations and cross-cultural communication; additional languages are a plus
Core Competencies
• Strong business intuition with the ability to quickly understand and respond to customer needs. Proven track record of building and maintaining strategic partnerships is key
• Strong understanding of the digital payment industry value chain as well as cross-border and domestic payment clearing and settlement mechanisms
• Experience in product implementation, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into executable product solutions
• Understanding of payment industry regulations and contract risk points; able to identify and manage legal risks during commercial negotiations
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, capable of building trust relationships with partners at different levels and backgrounds
