CHEST FREEZER
Hi, I am just helping the poor sods out there who read the old thread (now closed) about how to buy a chest freezer in HKG.
All the old threads point to a business which is now shut. The key to chest freezers is taking the Underground to Yau Mau Tai station (exit C) and head for Shanghai street. It is parallel to the HK lady Market which you probably know.
There are around 6 shops selling chest freezers. Prices range from 2980 to 2300. Differences being volume and the coldest attainable temperature. The only choices are -18/-20/-25
I live in DB which is the most expensive part of the island to get to. It cost $400 in a GOvan to get to my front door. They let you ride in the van for delivery, so consider it an awesome aircon ride home, and go deep shopping:)
