I have also had dogfather come to my home.
He's a really nice guy but I didn't think of the job he did on my dog.
I actually had two people ask me "what happened to your dog".
Maybe, he had an "off" day because I had head many positive comments about dogtfather and therefore decided to give him a try.
I usually take my dog to "Dog in the City" on Caine road.
He's always done a great job and I switched because I moved.

i think Dogfathers is excellent. he is very gentle and does a great job on two very knotty neurotic dogs. The dogs get so scared when they used to go to a groomers, i think they can smell the fear and i have walked in an heard dogs yelping at groomers, so happy to be there and see that he is so gentle and calming for the dogs.

I totally agree that Dogfathers is a nice guy, very knowledgable and gentle but if I wanted the mess left behind I would do it myself.

Sorry, i left out a word in my last post.
it should of read, i didn't think much of the job he did on my dog.
he's a really nice guy and is really friendly.
he comes to your house with a table, clippers and some good advice about how to wash your dog.
i have taken my dog to other groomers and they did a much better job in terms of grooming the dog.

Sorry to bump a really old thread, but does anyone know if any new grooming services have started up out here in Sai Kung recently? We adopted a rescue dog recently and he's in need of a serious bath and de-matting.

I take my two dogs to Pets Central in Sai Kung for grooming. They do a great job and the groomer is really nice, especially if the dog is nervous, which mine were. You need to go in and become a member first (free) and then you can book an appointment.
They are also great vets, so you can use them for that as well if you like.

I have a sweet chitzuh to be groomed Saikung aerea where we recently moved
yesterday I walked all the streets in Saikung, went to most of the wet groomers.
a-they are not friendly forget about commercially nice
english is an unknown language in all places and when you try to place a word in cantonese they pretend they don t understand ,or don t pay attention.This behavior becomes a very local behavior.
b- they all want to shave dogs , no scissor cut and as we all know shaving is the easiest way
One told me I don t want to hurt my scissors!!
c- I wonder if they are really professional or just people with a convenient location in Saikung, fit to make money
d- not even sure they are dog lovers
finally too scare to be with the wrong people and have a job badly done Dolly and me went home.
however my little girl needs a groomer so your advices will be welcome
