There are a number of decorative house plants that can harm or even kill some pets.... in colder climates (obviously not in Hong Kong) the use of salt on sidewalks can be a problem if your pet licks it...

Tobacco if eaten by a pet can be a threat to life.... as are many common drugs including aspirin, birth control pills, diet remedies etc...
