Are you living in Mui Wo ? Is it a nice place to live with dog + catsss ? I'll be moving this Summer to HK, but don't want to live in the city.

Mui wo is Lantau Island, and is a 20 minute ferry ride from Central. If you choose to locate here, you will be dependent on the ferry. There is the MTR. you will have to take the bus to Tung Chung, then MTR to Central/TST areas. Which will take approx 1 hour.
The property rentals are cheaper here, when you can find one. Its a great location, plenty of Beaches and Hiking/Biking trails.
Of course it depends on your budget for an apartment/house.
