We are looking to adopt a terrier.
Our Jack Russell recently died at the age of 15. We are very attached to the terrier personality and used to having that energetic presence around our village house and garden.
We would prefer a young dog that we can train. But we would consider any terrier or terrier mix.
We have another rescue dog, a standard/full-size poodle, and two children (ages 11 and 9) who love dogs.
Yes, we are in touch with the dog-rescue and pet-adoption services that do such a good job. And no, we won't go to a pet store to buy a dog, perpetuating the market for the puppy mills in Hong Kong.

We already have a large standard poodle and I'm not sure a Yorkie's character would work with him ... he's a bit of a bully.
We have adopted a foster puppy, a tong gau mongrel rather than a terrier.
But I would still find it hard to turn away any Jack Russell looking for a new home ...
