Hi, our English 5 year old son has daily Mandarin lessons at his ESF primary school, which he really enjoys, but we can't help him out with his reading, writing or pronunciation. I wondered if anyone might have a boy of a similar age who would like to meet up after school once a week to play. They could play one week in English only and one week in Mandarin.
I realise that this being an ex-pat site there might not be many Mandarin speaking visitors, but I'd be interested if anyone else has any advice. Most of his Chinese friends at school are Cantonese speakers.
We live in Tai Koo at the moment, moving to Sai Wan Ho in a couple of weeks. Please PM me if anyone wants to give it a try.
thanks
Steve

Sorry I can't help out with the playdate however friends in the same position got a group together of the child's friends and then hired in a tutor but for fun play in mandarin rather than formal sitdown lessons. The cost of a tutor shared between a few friends won't be so great and hopefully get one -on-one guidence.
Might be another option.
