Renaissance and school bus from HK Island

Hi wondering if anyone goes to Renaissance ESF from HK Island and what mode of transport they use.

I have no idea why Cara would suggest that you go via DB to get to Ma On Shan from HK Island????

I don't know either if kids travel from HK side to Renaissance, although I'm sure some of the teachers do. My suggestion would be MTR all the way.

Perhaps you could contact the school to see if they run a bus.

Have asked the school and the official school buses do not cover Central/Western side.

Not sure what Cara means by "why you would want to do that, i have no idea"

I know some teachers and some kids take an express bus from central that takes them almost directly to the school. It takes about 45 mins or so. I have driven from the school to central IFC area, and it takes me about 30 mins. Hope it helps.

Thanks Ultramum, got it sorted. Yes there is a bus that goes from Central to the estate near the school but the walk is about 10-15mins and I was worried abt rainy days. Have it sorted now. School bus from Jordan. 1hr 10mins door to door.

Yes we all have these views of what we think education should be abt and how we will not be doing certain things. Having now gotten to know more about the HK education system, it appears we have lots of choices and different schools to choose from gov or private, bilingual etc but I have found that having more choices makes the situation even more difficult. Yes my daughter did go to a school 5 mins from home (great huh) and only half a day (even better). Lots of time to play outdoors and meet her school friends. Sorry no, the amt of school work was ridiculous and her school friends were all too busy either doing homework, revising or going from one tutor class to another.

Hence the move.
