I am thinking about running some Kindermusik classes in CWB/Sai Kung area, and currently doing research to find out how big is the demand there. Can you please let me know if you are living in the area and are interested in joining? It will help me to plan the classes properly.

Much appreciated!

I went to the one in central and felt it was of little use to the very young and much more usefull to older children.

Thanks for the reply. The very young one may not react that much to certain things in general, but the whole idea is to introduce the music, the sound and the motion to them, as the little ones they learn like a sponge soaking up water. Continuous exposure to the sounds and rythum will help them develop the interest of music, and they will use it back one day when they are able to express themselves more. Like my almost 2 years old boy, I have been singing a few songs to him since he was a small boy, now he is just starting to talk, but whenever I sing the songs, he knows which words are the next and he can say those out. It is really really fun. I think the most important thing is to let both kids and parents to have a fun time together, meeting with other kids and parents, making new friends and sharing some thoughts.

I think your right since mothers already can do that at home and the classes didnt seem to offer the very young anything parents dont already do or are encouraged to do in the comfort of their own homes.

Other Kindermusik classes in the city center charge around $150 - $230 per session, depending on the courses. I am trying to sort out a few things in order to bring the operation cost down, hopefully can make it a bit cheaper. It would also be great if anyone of you can bounce off ideas about venue selections which can keep the cost down. Thanks!!

hi, i'm interested, i have 8mth old and we stay at silverstrand. there used to be a chinese restaurant (now closed down) at the clearwater bay pns and the place has been empty long time now. don't know about rental but don't think it should be that expensive.

You can also check out Silverstrand Shopping Center in Silverstrand Beach Road... easy to find and you have a big car park next to it. The building's quite empty and as far as I know there's only one or two shops open there... one's my hairdresser;-)

Thanks Taurus2006 and Ceejay! I am driving to CWB this weekend and will definitely check out both places. In fact, I am also looking at moving to CWB, with the idea of probably running the classes at home, in a more homey and cozy environment instead of being too commercialised. Of course the area which will be used for the classes is not going to be only a small room, I have to look for something more spacious, and also close to a parking lot. Without a big rent, I should be able to keep the course fee lower. What do you think about this idea?

Anybody who is a member of the Clearwater Bay country club can join the Kindermusik classes in there. I think it's by Kindermusik by Catherine.

Hi Hebe12,

You can try JWT Kids Gym. My 9 months old son goes to the one in Central, but they have a new center in Tseung Kwan O. Is that close to your place? it's not exactly dancing, but it's music and exercising....
