I have been looking for Japanese language instruction and found Pasona Education CO. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Is that the place near starbucks in CWB?I did a beginners course there a few years ago. I remember one of the first lessons was copying down all this Japanese from the blackboard. As a westerner and not used to writing characters i didn't know how to do it and sat there with a bank look on my face for a while and just copied down as best i could. I remember thinking that it was pointless at the time. I think we were given the handwriting books after the first lesson to practice the characters of two of the alphabets, katakana and hirigana and then once mastered it all became clearer. It was a three month course and then you continue up the levels. I didn't continue after the beginners course and sadly its all forgotten. From what i remember the school was very good and organised apart from that first lesson and you have an exam at the end. There were about twenty people on the course and you get to practise with lots of role plays.

i have been gonig there for years - they are the most qualified of all japanese institutions in HK - however, you pay thru the roof. Group classes are OK - but one on ones are $450 for an hour.. the is the only downside.. all else it was very good
