My daughter is at the Canadian International school, but only in prep so this may not help. The facilities at the school are great (sporting/music/academic), although there is not alot of outdoor space (no grass).
There is a very strong mandarin program if this is important to you. The IB is being introduced at the moment, as are laptop computers for all the older grades (not sure what age this starts?) The head of the junior school, Alan Dick, is very good, and very hands on from what I have seen.
My daughter has enjoyed the school for the past 2 years, and we have been very happy. Whenever I have visited the school to help out I have found the students happy and polite.
The one big negative is parking and access because of where the school is - traffic can be bad.

You need to know which high school you want your child to attend, as if they finish p.6 at an ESF primary school it is most likely that they will continue on to an ESF school such as Island School, West Island, South Island School, Shatin or KGV.
All of these schools (ESF) have now adopted the IB (International Baccalaureate) system. If you want your child to do these finishing exams then an ESF primary school will suit your child as he/she will transfer to an ESF high school , depending on your catchment zone, after p.6
If you specifically do not want your child to take these IB finishing exams then another international school would be best. German Swiss International do A-level examinations still, French International do IB, HKIS mainly focus on SAT exams (for acceptance to US universities).
I know it may sound ridiculous to be thinking about finishing exams when your child is only 10/11 but being certain which exams you want them to take when they are 17 will determine which school is best and will save a lot of hassle later on.
On the advice front I graduated from Island School last year and I thought very highly of the school. I also have friends who attended other ESF schools and they speak very highly of them too. If you need any more help feel free to pm me.
