Trying to get an idea for a someone going to live at Gold Coast and looking at various schools - particularly american curriculumn such as HKIS. I know there is a pick up at Kowloon Tong so anyone with knowledge of GC could tell me how from one point to the other and how long would it take?
Other option is ESF and been told it has been re zoned and GC now comes under Island School.
Hope someone can advise on this.

We live in Gold Coast and my daughter attends one of the ESF schools in Kowloon Tong.
She catches the school bus and it takes about 35/40 minutes.
If i drive, then it's about 20/25 minutes.
As for the ESF re-zoning, it would appear from their website www.esf.edu.hk, that Gold Coast is indeed in the catchment area for South Island.
However, i believe that if you have a strong enough case then another school MAY be considered.

Thanks so much Totty. The catchment area for GC is Island School not South Island - seems a crazy long journey to make from GC.
I trying to find other secondary schools within that area. Where on earth do all the kids living at Gold Coast go to school? HKIS seems an impossibly long journey to make. ESF Island School doesnt even provide a school bus but have been told if there are enough parents they will group together and get a private bus.
