Can anyone tell me if there's a cheap way to put a 3 year old into some type of playgroup in HK? Everything seems so expensive. I guess that's the point of this section, for people to get together, meet other moms, make friends for their children.
I wouldn't mind my child going to some 'school' for a few hours here and there, but is there anything less than $7,000 a month? Thanks.
Thanks. That sounds much better! Is it a combination of expats and locals? Thanks again!!!:)
Hi,
Sorry, I have not logged on to this website for awhile. Yes, it is a combination of expats and locals.

Do you have the tel nr of Ming Wai Int.? is near to MTR station?
I heard ming wai is closed. my children goes t chekiang kiangsu nursery and kindergarden also in north point. around $3,000 per month or lesser depending on type of classes. but they are very full already difficult to get in.
my son attends english adventures at tsing yi. it's a play group where i also go along and it's only for 1.15hours a day. i think at 3, they are far too young to go to 'school'. at the playgroup, we sing, dance, do craft work and have story time. my son loves it and after which he goes to sleep on the way home. their website is www.english-adventures.com
I'm thinking about trying out english adventure too. I note from the website there is 20% discount for both referor and referee. Can someone refer me to the join?
Zebedee International Kindergarten in Tai Po has a great English playgroup that's very reasonable. The group enjoys many types of play, activites, art, stories and music. They also have a Mandarin playgroup starting next week.
My child is attending the HK Institute of Languages. She enjoys it very much there. I think their fees are very resonable too. Each class is between 1.5 - 2hrs, me and other moms normally get together outside the classroom with a cuppa coffee.

My 3 and 5 yr olds have been attending bambini republic two times a week for about 6 months. They have both mandarin and english programs.
my girl is going to the Bambini Republic english playgroup and mandarin playgroup, i think is good, nice environment, very native english and mandarin teacher, and the best thing i like is they provide progress report after each lesson and their class only put 6 kids max in a class, normally there are only 3-4 kids in a class, very focus and can learn a lot.
I know they do provide free trail lesson and 20% off for first time. my girl is nearly 3 yrs old, if any of you would like to try, you can call them and ask for a free trail class
