Hi Everyone,
We have recently bought property in the CWB area and are planning to move. Our son is due to go to South Island School however due to imminent move we are thinking it is much easier for him to go to KGV. He is adamant that he wants to go where his friends will be going. Does anyone have opinions on KGV? I know all ESF high schools are similar but each has their strengths and weaknesses. His friends at his current ESF primary school are from all over the world and I am hoping KGV would be similar. Any information would be very welcome.
Thanks in advance

KGV has a very good academic reputation, as there are a lot of Asian kids there with a great work ethic. Very high scoring school.

I've had 1 child finished at KGV at one still there. It is a very good school, thats good academically, but also promotes good all round students, its very strong in the arts and sports too. The only negative thing is the switch to IB, it was against the majority of parents wishes, so there is now a much higher ratio of expats leaving after year 11 Also the principle is not very well liked or respected among the pupils. But still an excellent school. A large percentage of expat kids in CWB go to this school so he would soon make lots of friends in the neighbourhood.

Thanks to everyone for taking time to reply. It certainly helps to know opinions of people with children and friends who actually go there. Shame about the principle but that seems to be more common than not! Thanks again.
