We are considering moving to Tung Chung and were hoping for any advice from parents with primary school aged children as to where they send thier kids if you live in Tung Chung?
Found similar thread on this topic but it was bit old, so started new to get latest updates if any.

Depends what you are looking for whether local school or international school. International schools close by are Discovery Bay International School, Discovery College or Lantau International.

Our daughter goes to Harrow. There is a bus from Tung Chung. The other schools that offer buses are Kowloon J, Discovery college, Lantau international, Ozzie school

There's a local school right there in Tung Chung that won't cost you a penny. And plenty of children get buses to school in Kowloon. Apart from the int'l schools, St Margaret's provides a bus service to Tung Chung.
How old are your children? If you are at the right time, you can apply to DC and DBIS. If you have a spare $400,000, you can 'fast track' your way too!
Hope this helps. With a little more specific info, you may get better advice.

Hi,
We are moving from India to HKG Lantau in November 2013. I appreciate your help in advising some of the schools near Tung Chung area in Lantau. I could only find Lantau International School (LIS) and Discovery bay IS but the total fee seems to be on the higher side ($80-100K). Are there any Government aided schools or other local English medium schools that are comparatively lower in fees.

I'd caution against moving to Tung Chung until/unless you find a school there. If your budget is limited and you prefer not to have your child travelling a long way to and from school every day, you may be better off living elsewhere.
I work with families relocating to HK and the golden rule is: school first, home second.
All the best! Ruth

Why not try some of the Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools nearby Tung Chung or they provide school buses? For example, St. Margaret or Delia (Man Kiu) English Primary School. Check from the websites of those two schools.
