Help needed: Mandarin learning for kids?

ORIGINAL POST

My sister has a son of 5 and daughter of 10 year old that are learning Mandarin. Since she doesn't speak Mandarin, it's tough for her to help them with homework. She has hired a private Mandarin tutor but sometimes they have questions when the tutor is not around.

Does anyone has this problem? And how do you solve it?

I have the same problem too. I am learning Mandarin for my son as he needs it in School..... I can help with his homework when I get some ideas of thr language. My tutor is very nice. She answers my questions via messages, email or whatsapp whenever I have problems. you can try to contact her. She works in a Language centre near Lan Kwai Fong called Chinese Language Learning Centre. and their website is www.chineselan.com

My children's Mandarin tutor of 2 years is very helpful. She comes twice a week and assign quite a lot of homework for the children to do each week. When they have difficulty in doing the work, I will email her. She always gets back to them on the same day. She works full time as a private tutor and is very experienced. She has a website http://sites.google.com/site/cityfunchinese

Thanks. I live at Kennedy town. I usually go to my students' home to teach their Mandarin.
