Yew chung for a child from a western, English speaking family

We are 2 English speaking only parents with a 1 year old. Thinking of either putting him in yew chung and hopefully he could pick up the language, or put him in the Australian intl school (he has an aus passport)

Has anyone had any experience/info on what yew chung is like for a western child, ie: is it common for the local kids to make them feel like an outsider, etc....

I'd suggest you prioritise - is it more important for you that your child acquires Chinese, or that he has more Australian friends?

YCIS is making a deliberate attempt to internationalize its population, so your application will be most welcome. Plus, they have the ECE whereas there's no guarantee that you'll get into AIS even with the nationality priority.

Hope that helps.
