The chief technology officer of eBay sends his children to a nine-classroom school here. So do employees of Silicon Valley giants like Google, Apple, Yahoo and Hewlett-Packard.

In fact, I am thinking the same before I read the article. I really think people nowadays (including educators of course) are relying way too much on computers. My child is now in P6. The school principle, newsletter or her class teacher always say the same thing : there are lots of links on the school website that you can refer to if your child needs any extra help. I know you can get loads of useful stuff from the internet but do you need it for everything? I would say NO, especially at the stage of primary or early secondary years. I am not forward to my child getting on to Y7 next year as each student will assign (of course at the cost of the parents) computer to do 'stuff'. If there is a secondary school that doenst compute, please Do post it here. Thank you very much.
