Bi-lingual kindergartens around Gold Coast?

I'd be really keen to get some advice from someone on good kindergartens around the Gold Coast/Tuen Mun area.

My son has just turned two and is meant to start K1 in September 2014, but I've not yet booked him into a good kindergarten. Yes, it's already looking late so I'm eager to find some options!

I'm ideally seeking one that teaches in English and Cantonese. I'm aware of PIPs in Sam Sheng and Jing Jing in Tuen Mun, but I think the latter is mostly English. Would greatly appreciate some more options!

Thanks,

TE

Jing Jing has two streams - local and int'l. You'd be looking at the local stream for a decent amount of Cantonese.

Gold Coast is not well served by kindergartens - you may consider further afield. Kowloon Tong has an abundance of choices, but move fast as many have closed off registration for Sept 2014 already.

All the best!

If you mainly require Cantonese with English you will find "Creative" in the Aegean Coast (across the road from Gold Coast) as the best "local" option with English lessons as part of mainstream Cantonese. There is also another Kindergarten called "Sunkids" and they have Cantonese and Mandarin.

There are many kindergartens in the Tuen Mun area that offer Cantonese with English as well as PIPS in Sam Sheng. There are many in Tsuen Wan as well. You would be best looking and talking to the local parents with kinder children and ask them where they send them. Many of the local kindergartens start them in a nursery stream.

There seem to be about 3 prominent local kindergartens that service the area - PIPS, Aegean and Sunkids.

Then there are three that have English as the first medium of instruction K1 - K3 and they are Harrow, Just Juniors at Creativity and Jing Jing - hope this helps
