We are moving to hk next year after summer due to my husband work. We have a 3 years old boy and by the time we move to hk he will b ready for schooling.Â
My husband does not need to go to office as he will b traveling heavily. So we are just looking for schooling for our boy and will look for housing nearby his school. We dont know yet if the company will pay his education directly or factor it into his salary package. Hence, we would like to admit him to a reasonably priced bi lingual kindergarten (and possibly primary school) with emphasis in Chinese (not English). Well since we plan to live nearby his school I hope that we can find a school for him in an area where housing is not too expensive. Our housing budget is hkd 20k to 30k a month.Â
Thank you very much for your kind advice

Well, if you consider not too expensive I will recommend the kindergartens at Kowloon Tong as much more suitable choices there. Also because the rental and school fee would be more expensive at Hong Kong island though there are many good kindergartens too. Another big issue is as I know enrolling kindergartes need to have interviews around one year before. Not sure is there still have seats left when your family arrive next year? Seems you would better to make decision earlier and contact the kindergarten you preferred to seek for any special arrangements can for your case. I remembered at that time my kid need to attended interviews around 2 years old already and the application deadlines for kindergartens next year might expired already.

TWINKLEMOM,
By Chinese do you mean Cantonese or Mandarin? Also do either of the parents speak Cantonese or Mandarin? I suggest that if not then you need to consider a tutor centre after school to do his homework at (you can sort this tutor nearer the time).
