TESOL course in Hong Kong

I am thinking of doing a TEFL certificate in Hong Kong and someone mentioned the Trinity TESOL. I googled and it is offered in two places - one is called English for Asia and the other is called The Edge. Does anyone have any experience with these places or know anything about them? At the moment I can see that The Edge offers a cheaper course, but any other points that I should take note?

YES!! I did mine back in 2012, with two excellent trainers named Frank and Maria. At the time, this course was at English For Asia but I know that these trainers are still in HK and have recently moved to the other venue, the Edge. I don't know what the new trainers are like at the old place, but Frank and Maria were really wonderful tutors and I would definitely recommend going with them. They were very professional and supportive (and lovely, fun people too!), and if they are cheaper, all the better! :)

Good luck! It's a hard course, but worth doing. The tutors are very experienced and they really set you up with a very solid foundation in language awareness, and also in classroom management and teaching skills. I was a grammarphobe before the course (!), and at the start also quite nervous about being at the front of a classroom... I have now been happily teaching for 4 years. Couldn't have done it without the tutors!

I was persuaded by my friends to do the course at English for Asia. I was skeptical about taking the course at all because I thought it was just a certificate you are guaranteed to get once you pay. I was incredibly wrong about that as the course was very intensive and totally transformed me as a teacher. From what I believe, their courses are high in demand and often have a waiting list of 1-3 months to get on the course. The instructors are professional and understanding at the same time. Tom is really funny once you get to know him.
