Hi, we've been in HK just 7 weeks now and beginning to go a little stir crazy - need to meet some people. Looking to find local friends for my 6 year old daughter (and me!) especially around Central/West Mid Levels. At the moment my daughter goes to Kennedy school (no places at Peak or Glenealy) and whilst she has made a few friends, they tend to live in either Pokfulam or on Lamma so it would be nice for her to meet some local kids. We're on Macdonnell Rd - not far from YWCA. We're originally from Sydney, my partner from London.
So, anyone interested in meeting up for coffeee or for a weekend or after school catch-up in the park it would be lovely to hear from you.

Hi Trellick,
I have a 4 and a half year old girl and a 2 year old boy and live in Conduit Rd. We too are origially fron Sydney and have been here about a year and a half now. My daughter will be starting at Glenealy in August. Let me know if you'd like to catch up for a coffee and chat one afternoon, while the girls can play.
Talk to you soon,
Sam

Sammy S - thanks for your message. It would be great to hook up. I have sent you a private message.
!@# - thanks for the tip on the coffee mornings. As for Kennedy School - it was not our first choice because of its size and location but my daughter seems to have settled remarkably well given she arrived in the middle of the school year. It is definitely a real mix of kids from all backgrounds - Australia, India, Canada, US, Europeans, South Africa, UK, HK, Singapore, others and many mixed backgrounds too esp. anglo/chinese. I don;t think one group dominates but not entirely sure. It's certainly not mono-cultural in that sense. The curriculum is predominantly a UK based one. Hope this helps.

Hi!
I run a school in Tin Hau. Our students range in age from 18 months to 16 years old. We have many primary school students. One of our main ideas is that parents can also drop in and have a coffee and a chat with us / other parents. Your child doesn'thave to be one of our students, we would welcome you anyway. We will also be starting a free story telling time on Saturday lunchtimes- another great way for kids to come along, meet other kids and for parents to gather too.
If you would like more info, please PM me and I can send you some details.
