I am considering DSC for my 5 year old daughter (joining PG1) in September as waiting lists for ESF & other International Schools are crazy.

Does anyone have any experience / comments about the elementary section, or are planning on sending their child there?

There are very few native English speaking kids there, so if your child is a native speaker they may feel a little fish out of water-ish. That said, it's a very nice atmosphere & seems very caring. I do know one European girl, though not native English speaking, who went there for 3 years- her parents were not happy with her progress as her English was way ahead of everyone else's, and they felt she was being slowed down. She eventually moved to the ESF & they're all much happier.

Hi, we sent our daughter to Deliah school. All the kids speak English and the teaching medium is English. There are kids from many countries, in my daughters class there are Korean, British, Indian, Sri Lankan, Philipino, Nepalese and China; maybe more I can't remember. They teach the new simplified Cantonese course for non native Chinese students with an option to upgrade to full cariculum if required. It's inexpensive and the staff are cordial and seem effective. All the other subjects, maths, Mandarin etc. follow the normal route, we are generally happy with the school.
