Hi All

We had paid fees for Christian Aliance International School and just got accepted into Lantau International School.

Please can you comment on this school and whether we should select this.

We live in Tung Chung and LIS is definitely closet than CAIS (in Kowloon city). So the bus ride and the timings to get up in morning will be much easier for LIS.

I will however lose 16,000 hk$ I have paid for CAIS. I have to decide within today so please kindly let me know about your thoughts on the decision

thanks a lot!

If yr kid is in lower grade in primary, LIS is better choice considering commuting. One and a half hour -at least- travelling everyday is not a joke. I know as my son did it. I hired a taxi with other 2 kids in the morning. But still coming back home after school was very tiring journey for him. End up, I moved out of Tung Chung. But he was in G7 then.

Think about also CAIS is not a school they can pay attention nor patient to the kids with their poor academic system made me confuse how my son could be successfully get into a good university in the future! My son only learnt ten vocals in a month and his class teacher were extremely lazy!

I felt wasted my money and time to send my child to study at CAIS, my kids did not receive any benefits at this super low standard school.

Hi, came across this old thread and wondered if there were any up to date views on CAIS? We just got accepted and need to pay a deposit.

LIS is definitely a good choice if you live in Tung Chung. I would suggest you thinking about what curriculum you'd prefer for your children.

LIS teaches the Key Stages of the British National Curriculum and CAIS is the Alberta Curriculum. If you move would the transition from the Alberta Curriculum be an esay transition for your children? For Secondary, your children could easily transitiion into the YMCA after LIS.

Check out the The Unique Hong Kong Schools Guide if you need to more about all 3 schools and the curriculua offered.
