We are moving to DB in August and I would like to know if they are many parents in the same situation. My son is 4 years old and will start at Kennedy this August. This is a long commute and want to know how other parents do it.
Thanks!!!

My daughter is older but still my husband travels with her in the morning and puts her on the school bus that arrives to meet the ferry. On the return journey she gets on the ferry with all the other children and I/my DH meet her off the ferry.
There are a few mothers and DH's that do both trips and quite honestly if my child was only 4yrs old I would expect either myself or my helper to accompany my child on every trip. I have witnessed young ones unaccompanied and whilst there may be people around that know the child, I have been shocked that parents feel this is OK.
Most of the parents/DH's return straight back to DB and then come over again later and go food shopping in City Super etc and then return back to the ferry pier for 3pm when the bus drops off at Pier 3.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your input. I suppose what I am really looking for is how to find people that ferry pool to the bus stop. I work from home and I won't be able to travel with my son every day 4 times a day and we dont have a helper. I am sure I will be able to negotiate with my boss one or 2 trips a week but every day may be difficult.
This is the most "ideal" situation, and I wish the school system in DB was better, but this is how things are now and I am just try the best way to make it work. If there is anybody what will like to make a group and share the trips with me, I will like to hear from you. Thanks!

I meant this is not the most ideal situation! Also, maybe an older kid interested on helping out... I don't know this is just an idea coming to my head.

Do you have to move to DB? Is your accomodation already arranged? If not perhaps it's worth looking at moving somewhere on the HK side. That way all you'd have to manage is to get your child onto and off the bus (that was worrying enough for me tho my daughter was only 3 at the time).
Just a thought....
