Hi,

I have read some of the threads on this forum and my husband and I have heard good things about Pricilla's Music in motion at the HKCC. We have 8 month old twin girls and a 3 year old boy. Does anyone have any advise on music classes for all of my children? Thanks.

My toddler and I attend Priscillas Musiknmotion. She does alot of singing (she can really sing!) using vocals and the songs on the CD's are of a better standard than anywhere else I have heard using real children's choirs. As a singer myself I can see how beneficial the pitch matching games are that she does. She also uses different ideas that the children love and the class just flows beeter than others I have been to. I think she is full at the HKCC (our class is anyways). You could still try the HKCC, or she does classes at Panda Junction in Central.

Does anyone know of any music classes that involve instruments as well (e.g., percussion). My almost 3 year old son loved music classes in Australia (Kodai method) and I would love to get him and my 15mnth old into something here. Thanks

We also go to Priscilla's Music classes @ Musiknmotion in Central and she uses many different percussion instruments that are made of natural wood and not plastics. My kids love them and she is always inventing new ways to play on them that keep the children very interested. I know about Kodaly method and my kids tried it in the States and really liked it. I think that is why they have taken to Priscilla's music classes so much! Priscilla does rhythm and tonal echo patterns with the children, which is based on the same belief of langage and reading music being interconnected. Have you heard of Musikgarten? This program is used in the classes and is montessori (as I am a Montessori teacher myself I can vouch for that!) She is a wonderful music educator and very patient and kind with the children. Her website is: www.musiknmotion.com and I am pretty sure she teaches music at the Hong Kong Cricket Club too. You can ask if she is still doing free trial classes. -- Whoops just noticed the date of your post. Hope you have found a class by now.
