Hi, am not a Filipino but i speak it like one (if not better). Do you want to learn the national language which is actually called Filipino (often mistakenly called Tagalog) or a Northern dialect? (one of which is Ilocano which i also speak fluently).

What do u want to learn - conversation? from the basics like numbers? i am not a teacher but it is something i am looking into doing in the future so this opportunity would be good for me.

HK2

I think you are mistaken. Actually the Philippine language is called TAGALOG and the people are called FILIPINOS.

I'm not mistaken. Born and brought up there, thank you very much! Tagalog is a dialect. The main language (what Mandarin is to China) is technically Filipino, everyone just says Tagalog because it is similar. And if you are a Filipino, you're one of the ones who propagate the mistaken notion of Tagalog being the national language. Google it. :)

But yes, the people are called Filipinos.

Hello HK2 Sorry. I think you are right. I have friend who is a local Filipino, she corrected me and told me that you are right. Sorry for the wrong interpretation of the Filipino language. Hope you will have a heart to forgive.
