Hello everyone!

I would love to study Mandarin in China; however I’d prefer to be in a small town rather than a huge, grey city + I'd love to do some volunteering if possible.

Maybe you have some info on Mandarin immersion programs outside the city, in rural China?

Thanks!

My favorite rural place in China is Yangshuo, the mountains and the river are just BEAUTIFUL! Plus you can do rock climbing and loads of biking and hiking. I studied Chinese there at a school called OMEIDA & my Chinese improved loads, it was useful for me that they were accommodating to my schedule - I was climbing too- and could arrange one-on-one lessons when needed. The school is famous in town; I'm sure when/if you are there people in the streets should be able to tell you where that is. Anyways just google OMEIDA Chinese Academy, you should be able to find it

Hope it helps-
