I've recently heard from one of my friends who told me that there is a new policy for Canadian International school regarding personal family debentures. New enrollees will now require a hkd$3-4 million personal family debenture to be admitted. I've heard that other International schools may also follow this policy this year, i.e. CIS, HKIS.
Has anyone heard about this and can confirm/deny?
This is a big issue as this can cause a big ripple or hardship/added burden for parents' when it comes to their children's education.
Isn't raising kids in Hong Kong challenging enough? We go through so much to raise our kids in this country and everyone in HK wishes to attend International schools. So much ado for nothing as the matriculation rate for Ivy League Schools are less than .01%.....unbelievable!!

Simple, call up CDNIS and ask them. I've not heard anything about this and would be very surprised to hear if true.
