Interview in Immigration

ORIGINAL POST

Hi,

My prospective helper was terminated for financial reason, she went there today to ask if she will go home or not, officer said no as she has to be back after 4 weeks for interview. They got all the requirements so i supposed they will process the visa now.

Anyone knows what kind of interview is that for the helper and is it a guarantee that she is not going home anymore? She did not go to consulate yet, immigration first before consulate, that's what the officer told her.

Thanks.

After the interview they will give her another date to return to finish and collect her new visa with you as the emplyoer. Between now and then she must get the new set of green contracts through the Phill Consulate. This will cost about $300 and your DH needs to make sure they know the date of the second interview so the contacts will be finished processing. The day of the 2nd interview, she will have her new visa. You will need to provide all the financial proof, address proof etc.

Good luck, the chances of them(Immigration) agreeing are much higher when the previous employer sttates financial reasons on the release letter. B/C of the financail crisis, many girls are being released and they don't need to return to homeland if they can be rehired this way.

Thank you HKwatcher for your reply.

Just to clarify, you mean she has to go to consulate NOW to submit the green contract and start processing? even if the interview with immigration is still 4 weeks to go? The officer did not get the 4 green contract even if i have already signed it, they just ask for photocopy but they got all the supporting documents.

Thanks again.

Boss,

Your DH must wait until approval from Immigration (first interview) before submitting the green contracts to Phill Consulate, then take those contracts BACK to Immigration for visa.

All important is the first interview, once she gets that approval, it's just a matter of processing (about 1 week)

Cheers
