Hi, according immigration acknowledgement letter, visa processing for DH takes 6 weeks. What is your experience on this; does it always take 6 weeks or most likely less ? Do you have any experience, if it can be speed up, by e.g. talking personally to immigration department ?

Six weeks means six weeks. You can try calling them but it rarely has any impact.

6 weeks is a decent average. I have seen as short as 3 weeks and as long as 9.

It's also been suggested that you can try emailing Immigration to expedite the process. Some people say they've had success with this.
