Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I have hired a helper recently whose previous employers have left HK, therefore she didn't need to go back to Philippines before starting the contract. I, therefore haven't been required to pay for her one way airfare back here to start work for me. She is planning to go home next month for a short holiday. Am I obliged to pay for her ticket??
Thanks

Her previous boss should have given her some money in lieu of the one-way ticket home therefore you pay the other half to make it a full return ticket. That applies to most cases where a helper one hire need to go back to her homeland before starting on her new job. As to your case, didn't you talked about the arrangement of her holiday during your interview?

See the Resources section here - Cathay Pacific has special fares to Indonesia and the Philippines for helpers http://hongkong.asiaxpat.com/helpers/
