Hi, We are new to HK and are in the process of hiring a maid. I understand that we should provide a) Medical insurance and b) have some sort of 3rd party liability insurance to cover her should something happen in our residence.
Can anyone tell me what insurance policies/which company they would recommend? What is the cost?
Where is the office so I can go and get policy?

I believe HSBC does policies for DHs. I've no idea how competitive or good it is as I just glanced at the bumpf when I was renewing our household insurance.

Just signed up with Dao Heng, but we have friends that have signed with Kwiksure and HSBC. Also check BlueCross and Dah Sing Bank ... depends on the level of coverage you want and what you want covered ... each is different.

Only Employer's Liability insurance is compulsory when employing a DH, as for any employer as per the Employees Compensation Ordinance, and most insurance company will offer this in a package together with medical expenses etc. you can first check with your current household insurance provider.
