My family is moving to Singapore and we will bring my Filipino Helper to HK with us. Anyone knows if I need a maid agency to help with the paperwork? Or is this something that I can do on my own?

I think you'll find that the Singapore agency has nothing to do with this one. You can do it yourself or you can use an agency - in which case you COULD use the SG agency. However, to complete the standard HK contract you need precise details (not just address) of your HK accommodation. If you haven't got that sorted out yet then you won't be able to conmplete the contract and thus get the FDH visa for your helper. If you haven't got the accommodation sorted out before you actually move here then you might need to consider sending your helper home to PH pending approval/issue of the visa (timing is around 6 weeks from application unless you can prove to Immigration that your need is urgent).

Hi! You have to have your HKIC first before you can hire an overseas DH. You also need your proof of address as stated by TC, also proof of income. First time Filipino DH that are not EX-HK are required to be hired through an agency as to have their contract verified by the Philippine Consulate. If you are now in HK, you might want to use my sisters agency where she has hired Indonesian worker for the past 3 years. They are accredited and have Philippine and Indonesian DH experience. They've been in business for at least 5 years, if I'm correct. Good Luck and more power.

Sure, Jaslineh. Her agent is Mary and her no. is 6283 7299. Her agency charges HK$888 for overseas Philippine maid and for overseas Indonesian, HK$1988. Air ticket inclusive. You may check with her regarding your case as the one my sis employed is on the agency's ward. Yours is your own maid. Good Luck.
