Over 100 new helpers dropped by the AsiaXPAT HQ last weekend to places ads on our helper channel. Most of them have photos, full bio data and most importantly, REFERENCE LETTERS from previous employers with their ads.

Can I suggest that you refine your search criteria to include language ability, care of elderly, etc. There are just too many names to scroll through now.

Finally tally is 27 for today, Wednesday July 6th.
We will call the Guiness World Book of Records now becasue that is the highest number of new sign ups on a weekday ever.

With respect to the salary question, the minimum legal salary payable is around HK$3800 (not sure the exact number) - what is your budget?

Isn't the minimum legal salary right now $3300? It used to be $3670 but then the govt. slapped the $400/month levy on, thus allowing employers to deduct it from the helpers' salary.
Let me know if i'm wrong anyone.

I believe....3270 + 50 = $3320 is the minimum legal salary. Then add the $400 tax.

If it's not asking too much can you get the helpers to correctly fill in when they are available as it defaults to when the add was placed. I would like to get a helper in the next three weeks and everytime I call to ask about the date available as it invariably says the same as the date placed I get told 4, 6, or 8 weeks from now which is a little to far off.

sometimes the dh's inflate their supposed current salary, sometimes not. did you check with their last employer to verify their pay?
