visitor, if your maid finished her contract then she can process her document and waiting her visa here in hongkong. And she can start her work after she get the visa from immigration. It will take probably 3 to 4 weeks. Hope you get a good maid for your family.

If she has finished her contract, she doesn't need to go home right away. But her visa will only be extended for a year and she will be required to go home within a year. Good luck.
