I have just hired a new DH to look after my newborn and have a few general questions. (1)are there set hours of work (e.g. 7:30AM to 9:00PM? or should my DH be expected to help out at night (reasonably) (2) Do DH's prefer to eat with the family? (3) As I'll be going back home (overseas) for two weeks in October, how much allowance should I leave for food (provided that I have all staples in the house already, e.g. rice, pb, etc)? I would appreciate any answers on the above from employers and DH's. Thanks.

My general answers to you : (1) usual household working hours wld be something like 6:00 - 9:30, of course each family is different. Sometimes you can tell your helper to have a nap or rest as well when your baby is sleeping coz we are all human afterall. (2) I wld say most of them prefer not to. Do u want to eat with yr boss? Then you can figure out the answer. But it is your choice because you are the boss. (3) In thoery not necessary if you are providing her all her food. But something like $200 wl keep her happy.
