Bringing Indonesian maid from Singapore

I will be coming to HK next year and I have a toddler son who will come with me. I am thinking of bringing my domestic helper(Indonesian) with me. What are the procedures that I have to go through to apply for her to work in HK, and do I have to pay her a minimum wage? What are the advantages of bringing her along vs employing a new maid from HK? Is it easy to find part time helpers in HK? I will be staying at Nam Long Shan Aberdeen and teaching at an International School there.

I did this 5 years ago and had to go through a HK agency. It's best that you apply now because the process could be a few months. If you like her and she is great with your son, you should bring her over. She will take a while to adjust to HK though given that she doesn't know her way around. That will be easy once she meets new friends.

hi - apologies for reviving this thread.

can you advise the procedure? can we initiate the process from Singapore? or is the only way to use a HK DH agency?

i heard that they may have to return for a 4 week training in indo, is this true?
