It seems like maybe a new section is needed in the classifieds, for people wanting/available for LEGAL part-time helper jobs (again I stress LEGAL). Given the number of people on this forum who want part-time helpers, there seems to be a large market out there.

Yes, I have been thinking about that the last couple of days as the forum is getting cluttered with ads... I am concerned about the issue of illegal part time helpers particpating on this section though...
I think the best way to go about this will be to have the employers advertise on the new section instead of the helpers - otherwise we will have to vet all the helpers ads to confirm they are legal and that is a make work project we dont have...
What we can do is allow employers to post their requirements and the helpers can respond... then the onus would be on the employer to ensure the helper is legal...
Let me know if anyone has a better idea for this

Just a suggestion....why not do it the same way your full time domestic helpers are done. They come into your office to register and post their pics and reference letters, what's another step to check their legal status. If anything charge the employers a finders fee.

This new section went live on Friday night.
We will allow our members to post their requirements - that way other members who have legal part time help available can reply as can the helpers.
