from my personal experience when you will have the baby you will be very tired and stressed out and the last thing you want is a sour face around you.
My question is :is she ok with the fact that she will help you with the baby?
or she is intentionally doing it so you will send her away?
Or maibe she is having some personal problems she don't want to tell you that stress her out?
Anyways if you are thinking to send her away I recommend you to look for someone else as soon as possible cause after you will give birth I don't think you will have any energy left for this matters.
good luck!

Dear Mosy, I am writing to you on your PM. Please check it.

Hello Mosy,
I think you should get rid of her and find a new helper. If she doesn't understand what you mean I guess her attitude won't change. And with a newborn arriving, you don't want to deal with this kind of behaviour believe me. When is your baby due ? Before or after her contract finishes ?
Ask your friends if they know about anyone looking for a job.
Good luck

i agree really get rid of her...this is negative to your child and you...and trust me after the child is born you will have a lot of tohter things to worry about and being sensitive to things...so last thing you need is any negative attitude from anyone..esp. someone who is working for U>....it wont' get better trust me..

Last thing you need with a newborn is a sulky-faced helper. She now of course thinks that she is indispensable (you offered her a pay rise to renew her contract), and really this is not a good situation. If you do want her to stay (but with a better attitude!) then give her one last chance, written down, with a time period specified. Put that if there has not been a considerable improvement (which of course is for you to judge) within 2 weeks her contract will be terminated immediately. You are at home full-time, you said, so you can instead hire someone part-time to clean for you. You can then look for a new helper after your baby is born.
I am still really sad that my early days with my baby were spoiled a bit by having to deal with bad attitude from my new (recommended by friends...) helper.

Yeah, sometimes the "devil you know" and all of that. All the best with the new bub.

2006 - be nice, now. Have you been in this kind of situation before? I have, and I'm with mosy completely. What's all this 'large organisation' stuff anyway? If we were talking about a large organisation the lady in question would been fired long ago if she was using the same sour (not dark, note) face to her boss. She's taking advantage.

I don't think you can fire someone for looking grumpy, however large your organization is.

I had a similar problem, my maid went from being chirpy to completely grumpy. It is annoying but I simply sat her down and we had a chat. She is 58 and as I have recently moved house, she told me the new house was just too large for her with the dogs and the garden etc etc. She was sorry for being grumpy and we resolved the issue to hire an additonal maid to help her ..... Smiles have returned ..... best thing is just talk to her .....

Sorry to hear about your helper's behavior. Hmm, something might be bothering her. It's either that or she's just being a pain in the ass. Talking to her would help a great deal. Since you've already done that. Just see what happens. Hope it all works out for the best. :) Congrats on the baby.

Get a new maid. You don't deserve to be treated this way. Since she didn't notice her attitude has change. She should be glad you gave her a job. If she does that again give her a face mask to wear. Draw her smile on her face. People u invite to your house is your family & friends. They will understand what u going thru. Sorry, I get so angry with these DH when they don't appreciate what we are doing. We pay for their service. They don't work for us for free. All the best for the new born.
