i just got a strange letter from hsbc saying an atm card was at the bank for me to pick up. only the letter did not have my name but someone else's (looked like a dh name). the address was mine! has anyone had this problem before? is this a case of someone using my address for loans? i contacted hsbc and they said they would call this person to find out why the address is mine. but now i'm afraid that maybe one of the dh's i interviewed before decided to go ahead and use my address for personal purposes. or that my current dh gave my address out to her friends/relatives for their personal reasons. what can i do to protect myself?

I guess your biggest concern should be unpaid debts or bad credit. The last thing you want is for banks or worse, debt collectors visiting your home looking for the debtor. (In the UK credit agencies black-list addresses)

might be a person used to lived in your address and never update her records in HSBC, its actualy a private and confidential though its your address but doesnt mean you can open her mail, would it be easy to return to sender,if no such person in that add?
