Aren't there places on Queens Road in Wanchai that do made-to-order furniture? Or, just go to IKEA or PriceRite. They have a few beds with drawers at the base. While small, 50sf should still fit a reasonably-sized single bed and dresser.

We had to have a bed made for our helpers room as the room was just 2 inches short for a regular bed from Ikea. I used the Steel Bed Company opposite the market in Wanchai. I then picked up linen and bedside table from Ikea.

Check out the trading Post for second hand beds. I got all of my furniture from expats leaving and it was great. Also at the complex where you are moving to they may have a notice board with some one selling helper furniture.

The metal looking high bed from IKea is great, not too big and it frees up all the floor space so you have more room. You can also fit a small wardrobe underneath and a small desk etc. I think its called Tromso or something like that and costs just under $1k.

Hi, we ran into the same situation with a small room and had a custom bed made. We no longer have a helper and are looking at selling the bed which was new approx 6 months ago. Dimensions are 68" long x 37" deep x 89" high, with 3 drawers below the bed and two large hanging cupboards above. if you are interested send a mssg. we are also in cwb. Rod
