Pls can somebody help, if my domestic helper gives me her resignation, do I have to keep her at my home for 1 month or does that mean she leaves at that moment. So also do I need to give her ticket etc, that too after just paying her 2nd levy:=(((?

Thanks TC. we just paid the 2nd levy of 2400/-.So also I wouldn't want someone to stay in my house after she hands in her notice,not quite safe for me. I think u r right, I shall need to go to te labour dept.Thanks

You will need to pay for the plane ticket. You hired an overseas employee and are obligated to repatriate them.
Make sure you have a written resignation signed and dated.
Also make sure the helper stipulates the reason in her resignation. As I am aware the immigration will wnat to know the reason for breaking the contract.
You will have to pay the months notice, prorata holiday, and annual leave. Return journey AND expenses for the journey time.
