Paid annual leave

On the original contract they get 7 paid days per year, after that it rises by 1 day a year, but I'm not sure if there's a maximum. So I think for year 3 they would get 8 days a year, year 4, 9 etc. I'm not 100 % sure, it may go up per contract not per year. So its either 11 days or 14 days.

cd is correct - one extra day a year, with a maximum of 14 days. See this link for the figures:

The maximum is 14 days which occurs at completion of 9 & over years with the same employer. For 8 years completed, it is 13 days.

Those 14 days do not include rest days or any public hyolidays in the period. So assuming just rest days it would be 16 (or even 17) days off with pay.
