Sick Leave for DH

Does anyone know how to handle sick leave of DH? In my company, I don't need to present a doctor's note if my sick leave does not exceed 2 days; otherwise a doctor's note is required. For DH, do they need to present a doctor's note for their sick leave? How many paid sick days are they entitled? I found the below note from the Immigration Dept website but I am confused on how to handle DH sick days...@_@

Sickness allowance

63. Under the Employment Ordinance, the Helper is entitled to sickness allowance at the rate of 2 paid sickness days for each completed month of employment during the first 12 months of employment and 4 paid sickness days for each month of service thereafter. Paid sickness days may be accumulated up to a maximum of 120 days.

64. The daily rate of sickness allowance is equal to four-fifths the normal wage for that day.

65. The Helper is not entitled to sickness allowance if the sick leave is less than 4 consecutive days.

So if my DH claims she's sick and needs to stay in her room and rest for a day or 2. Do I pay her? Should I request a doctor's note from her(I have purchased medical insurance for her)?

Thanks.

Don't force her to go to a doctor - a doctor's note is meaningless. I could go to a doctor with a migraine/period pain/food poisoning and would get a sick note without any trouble. Trust her t know when she can't work, and pay her anyway. If you think she's trying it on, then have a rethink.
