Is a DH working part-time illegal? If so, how does one go about reporting it? If anyone has done this, would you be able to let me know what happened?
To make a long story short, our previous helper who we fired a year ago, has been going about trying to make tremendous trouble for us in the past year by continuously filing small claims court cases against us based on lies.
We have a strong feeling that her ulterior motive for doing this is to enable her visa to be extended and extended because she has pending court cases--so that she can work in HK as a part-time. It's hard to believe that she could survive a whole year without any salary, especially since she was in debt when we fired her.
We think that the problem might be solved if Immigration does an investigation into her current movements but have tried to call the general number there and there is never any answer. Are there any other ways?

The feeling is that she isn't married to an HK citizen because if she is, then she wouldn't need to keep trying to extend her visa. When she was in court, she pleaded with the judge saying she hoped that she could one day work again. but could be a big act since she completely partial to making up lies...

The Immigration Dept has a hotline to report illegal workers but you would need evidence, such as place/time of employment.
Hotline: 2824 1551
Next time she drags you to the SCT, take details of all the cases (I assume all failed) to show the judge. The tribunal can "ban" people if they bring spurious case after spurious case. The SCT stopped a certain Fitness Centre from doing this.
