I need someone for 3 months who can do a morning 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift to be at home with my father. He is not ill or anything, but i would like someone to be at home to help him a bit or when he has to go out since he needs a bit of support.

Hi! I know someone that I can refer to you. May I know where you live and how much you're offering? The ongoing rate as I know is $50 to 60 per hour.

hi,

thank you for your response. I would rather do a monthly money because otherwise it will work out very expensive for me. Could you give me some details of the person.

Thanks you again

But surely if you pay someone by the hour or by the month it will work out the same, if that's what the going rate is? If I do part time work I don't care how I'm paid, but the hourly rate is the same.

i have friends who have helpers who come from 12 to 8 , 6 days/ week and they pay a monthly of 2000-2200. And that is when there is a lot of kids work.

If you calculate 50/ hr, it works out to 6000/ month which is unbelievably expensive.

therefore i would like to stick to the same rate as my friends are paying

I'm sorry kiwikinu. The one I'm referring to you is a legal worker. Therefore, she is asking for the ongoing rate. The one you're talking about might be overseas DH that are doing part time illegally. Do check it out.

I am sorry - I have to say I do not believe that someone is employing a helper legally at $11/hr (6 days a wk, 8 hrs a day for 2.2K). If it is a full time overseas helper the employer must also pay housing, food, insurance, return fares, etc, in addition to the legal minimum salry of $3,400 per month. If it is a part time helper then they must have a permanent HKID card. If you can find a permanent resident who will work for $11 an hour and can look after kids/old people/dp household work then I would love to hear how. And who? And where?

here is how it works. its a part time helper because she/ he do 7-8 hours. For the balance hours she is emplyed by someone else who i assume must be giving the insurance etc. while she is at my friends place the food is obviously included.

Voila. Not legal. Dh can work only in the household in which they are employed. Any work outside the home is illagal.
