Hello,
I have an helper full time and living at home.
We have severals problems, and do not know exactly how to do.
Here are some samples of problems:
* the house is not clean: for example, the floor of bedrooms has not seen the hoover for 2 weeks (we asked her 2 or 3 times to do)
* she do not cook healthy meals for our children (sandwich, salad, etc..)
* the laundry is worth and worth (2 weeks to wait for our clothes)
* the children are not allowed to play outside (we have a small garden)
It's the first time we have an helper. So it's a bit difficult.
We have already show her how to do, write her instructions for all days. But she follows nothing.
Thanks for your help.

If she is not following reasonable instructions then she should earn the fate of any other employee who chooses to follow that course. I'd probably get the sack if I couldn't convince my boss that my way was better (which I often have to do, but not always). I did include 'reasonable' because there might be an issue in that she is too tied up with caring for the children.

Why can you not say to her that today my kids are having XXXX for breakfast and YYYY for lunch. Perhaps she's not experienced enough in nutrition and healthy cooking to be rummaging up such meals. Even if you work full time and she is looking after your kids all day I still think that parents should have some control over what is going on. I have a friend who has a baby and works full time. She tells her maid EXACTLY what to do e.g. lunch today is this, her snacks are this. It may seem tiresome to some but the kid will be brought up her way, not the Amahs.

Thanks for all your advises.
Mrs Miggins:
It is hard for me to tell her exactly, because I encourage my children to taste different things and live "asian life".
If I just tell her vegetable+meat and after cheese and fruit - it should be OK (she can cook because the evening she cooks really good things).
Wowwowee:
I have two children. One is goind to school and the other is too young.
One example, we ask her yesterday to clean some rooms (hoover, wash the floor). She has done it but I don't how, it seems to be OK but when you look under the furniture for example it's dirty.
I am fed up with explaining her how to do (I spend mamy days showing her).
Tomorrow it's a her day off (mine also - I work 6 days per week) and my house is not OK.
Usually I clean it on the sunday, but I have decided not to do it tomorrow.
If I want to fire her, is it easy?

Thanks for all your answers. We have a discussion with our helper and she explains us that she noticed that the house was OK, but she doesn't have enough time with our 2 children.
We gave her a second luck and we will see. We began to repeat things, but I think it will not be OK (for one things I have alreday told her at least 10 times and it is still not OK).
So I will give you news in some weeks
