Does anyone know what procedures as myself as an employer has to take to employ a DH direct from Philippines? Also am i required by law to go through an agency and if so what costs would i be looking at?

Do you have a specific Filipino helper in mind whom you would like to hire directly? If so, it's better to use an agency. This will save you a lot of leg work and admin time. I've done that before and it only costs $3,120 (one-way plane ticket, long distance charges, courier for paper work, visa fee, medical check-up in the Philippines all included)
