I heard that if the DH has no experience working in HK before, you need to go thru the agency? Anyone know any reasonable agency charges for hiring oversea DH? Many thanks and ideas are welcome too.

no that's not true,you can ask in the immigration what EXACTLY the right thing to do,that's what they call "direct hire"..actually its quite easy and much cheaper than the agency,but only problem is you personally(the employer to be)is going to follow up the papers.have good day!

I think that if you plan to hire a newbie DH directly from the Philippines, you have to go through an agent. Philippine consulate rules, I think. Check the consulate of the person you want to hire with regards to their regulations.
